Urecon has recently developed a pre-insulated pipe system that achieves Class 1* on ASTM E-84 flame spread test. Ideal for users looking for insulated pipe that develops less smoke and slower flame propagation than with standard polyurethane foam.

*The product has a ‘flame spread index’ (FSI) of 25 or less and a ‘smoke developed’ (SD) of 450 or less.  This is a specification used in the US for building products.  It is often specified by engineers in Canada for pipeline and mining applications.
