Production

In late 2009, our Calmar Alberta facility began producing with a new state-of-the-art PE jacket extruder. This highly automated line allows greater overall capacity and flexibility up to 1200 mm (48 in) diameter core pipe.


Environmental Health and Safety Policy


Approach

Meet or exceed all applicable environmental, health and safety requirements, including all federal and provincial regulations. We will assess our performance by continuously monitoring our performance results and conducting periodic management reviews.

Where laws and regulations do not provide adequate controls, we will adopt our own standards to protect human health and the environment.

Support and promote sound scientific principles and fiscally responsible public policy with the aim of improving environmental quality and health and safety.

Advocate the adoption of prudent environmental, health and safety principles and practices with our contractors, vendors and suppliers.

Communicate environmental, health and safety policies and programs to all GF Urecon employees and other stakeholders.

Manage and operate our facilities to maximize safety, promote energy efficiency and protect the environment.

Strive to create products that are safe to use, conserve energy and materials. Make sure to prevent pollution throughout the life cycle of the product, including during design, manufacture and use.

Ensure that all employees are aware of their role and responsibilities in operating and maintaining GF Urecon's environmental management systems and health and safety policy.
